Frequent Asked Questions
Q What if your floors have been painted in the past? Do you need to remove that paint?
A For maximum durability you should remove the old paint and build back up. Your paint job is only as strong as what you paint over top of.
Q How long does this have to cure before you can walk or drive on it?
A Allow 24 hours dry time before permitting light foot traffic and up to 96 hours for heavy traffic and industrial use. Temperature and humidity will affect dry time - the cooler and less humid it is the longer it will take to dry.
Q Can this be used overtop of a previous garage epoxy that has faded?
A No, the old coating must be mechanically removed by sanding, grinding, or shotblasting before applying the POR15 material.
Application
Mask walls, door openings and any permanent fixtures that do not require coating.
Sweep floor with a stiff-bristled froom or shop vacuum to remove loose debris.
If excessive oil or grease stains exist, use the included grease and oil remover to prepare surface.
Mix POR-15 Floor Armor ingredients and apply to floor with the nap rollers with overlapping strokes.
