Eastwood's High Temperature Internal Exhaust Coating is formulated with specialized ceramic components and a tightly controlled particle sized aluminum pigment blend. Once parts are coated and exposed to high exhaust temperatures, the coating converts to a hard, tough, and impermeable ceramic barrier that protects and enhances the function of the system. The coating creates a smoother internal surface that reduces gas friction and creates a generally consistent gas flow through the system. Since the coating is designed to conduct less heat than the uncoated steel components, the coating reduces the heat transfer and heat buildup at the coating surface and decreases heat buildup and hot spots. Its 1800℉ / 982℃ thermal coating properties will extend the life exhaust system components by preventing rust and corrosion build up from the inside out and the Eastwood exclusive 2 foot long 360° aerosol extension nozzle makes applying the coating a snap. Works with both new and used exhaust system

Not for use with turbo or supercharger systems

Application

To apply, ensure the component to be coated is clean and free of rust and debris.

If coating a used see additional instructions.

Attach the 2' extension nozzle to the aerosol outlet.

Insert extension tube in as far in as it can go.

Depress button and slowly pull the extension tube out of the exhaust component.

Inspect to make sure there is full coverage, only one complete coat is needed.

Allow 8-12 hours to fully cure before putting into service.

  • Great prroduct
    Great product, I bought 2 cans for a set of BBF long tube headers. I needed 4 cans to properly do 2 coats as recommend, but I like very much still!
  • Impressive coating
    When I bought my Headers, I thought I would give this a try since nothing to lose. First I burned all the paint off with a weed torch then sand blasted best I could. After cleaning the inside and out with the prep, I painted. One can put two coats inside both headers for a 89 Chevy 350 I then pained the outside with black high temp paint and then used the weed torch to set the paints using a IR thermometer to keep the heat around 250 deg or less. Everything looked really good, then had the new dual exhaust installed then off on a road trip with a camper. The inside looks great after the trip and the header metal turned blue about an inch past the paint on the collectors. I will look inside again this fall to see if it holds up. I am happy so far.
  • Innovative way to lower engine heat.
    I'm replacing my exhaust manifold on my Jeep Inline 6. The coating goes on easy and dries fast. Gives me an extra layer of protection. Jeep owners know the exhaust manifold runs hot and can use all the help it can get.
  • major heat reduction
    I used this product on a aftermarket headers (SS T304) and a cat back system (austenitic SS). I heat cured both before install and the heat reduction was remarkable. The header reduction was close to 110-115 F deg and the cat back was close to 200 f deg! I figure the difference was do to types of stainless steel used??
  • Works very well. Remember kids, it's all PREP!
    The most important step when laying down any paint or coating is PREP. Doesn't matter what product you use, but if it isn't prep'd properly, that quality paint or coating ain't gonna stick.
    Follow all instructions and break-in by warming the car/bike up for five minutes then shutting her down. Let it rest for 30 minutes and then go wide open on the interstate. You are good to go!
  • Works as advertised
    I was a little skeptical about the claims but tried it out on a new manifold I was installing. I purposely left off the heat shield to test it out, it worked, you can feel the temperature difference under the hood. It also looks good and so far is a durable finish, would recommend this and will use it again on future jobs.
  • Quick drying, lays down very well, big can
    Make sure you have a respirator rated for OV (organic vapor) and lots of ventilation. This stuff is potent! I've never been disappointed with Eastwood products and this one is no different. With the separately purchased 24" wide fan extension nozzle, you can easily and professionally coat the insides of the exhaust components. Just make sure to rotate each piece to evenly coat the insides as best as possible. You can also coat the outside of the exhaust pieces with this same formula. It dries to a satin silver metallic finish so it looks pretty good.

  • Awesome product
    This product works as advertised comes out very smooth plan on one can per header for long tube headers o If I had one complaint it wood be that the hose nozzle could be 6 inches longer for long tube headers.
