Wet powder coating method for cast bullets
This is how I coat my lead cast bullets with powder coat. I never had much luck with the dry tumbling method so I tried and eventually came out with this. Many round down the barrel I decided to share it.
This is about as close as I can find to the J.D. yellow! Just placed another order for more. This is a fantastic powder coating and I've bought quiet a few different colors from Eastwood over the years. I sponsor a race car and the yellow is what he wants....
I tried 2 sample pieces before starting a bigger job. I found the color in a catalog, and customer liked the color. I shot just the yellow over bare steel, and also shot this over a white basecoat. The tints came out the same, just not as bright as I had hoped for.
