Wet powder coating method for cast bullets
This is how I coat my lead cast bullets with powder coat. I never had much luck with the dry tumbling method so I tried and eventually came out with this. Many round down the barrel I decided to share it.
Very happy with the flowout from this red. True to the red wagon color. Flowed cleanly and laid evenly. Nice gloss once cured..
Worked right outta the bag no problem for lead bullets. Very happy.
I tryed my first attempt at powdercoating on a master cylinder cover. The cover is new and I felt that it would be a good test subject. The powder went on as advertised. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick flowout to a bright shiny red. All the details and letters that would likely have been "filled in" by a paint were clearly visable under the powdercoat. My Dad who painted cars for a living was really amazed too.
Deep, dark color. No mistaking it for anything else!
This is a very dark red. For a consistent look I needed to use more than any other powder. It was applied to transfer case parts as well as a sock machine
